Dr. Rick Borquez has served as an Expert Witness for Plaintiff and Defense attorneys for the past 9 years in California and other states. Dr. Borquez has been involved Record Reviews, Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs), Depositions and Trials.

Dr. Borquez has been sought as an Expert Witness because of his extensive background in treating patients at his Westlake Village, CA office with Orofacial Pain disorders (TMJ, Nerve Injuries as the result of MVAs and Implant/Extraction procedures) and as a Clinical Instructor at the USC Orofacial Pain Clinic. Dr. Borquez has lectured on these topics at USC Dental School, Harvard University in Boston, California Dental Association (CDA) annual meeting and various Study Groups.

Dr. Borquez was also a member of the Santa Barbara-Ventura Peer Review panel for 5 years evaluating grievances by patients towards local dentists. In addition to Dr. Borquez’ s extensive background, Dr. Borquez has taken SEAK Expert Witness courses that has added to his qualification as an Expert Witness.
